2012 BMW M5 Launched

A 553-horsepower, 4.4-liter Twin-Power Turbo V8 shared with the X5 M and X6 M behemoths, plus the small matter of 500 pound-feet of torque between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm. Redline is now right around 7,200 rpm instead of the discontinued E60 M5's V10 that smacked us around at 8,250.

Own the BMW Nazca M12 Concept for $1.1 million

One of the most memorable concept models from the decade is Italdesign’s series of BMW Nazca supercar. The Nazca M12 model was designed by the great Giorgetto Giugiaro and it debuted in 1991 and was followed in by a more hardcore version called the Nazca C2 in 1992 and an open-top Spider C2 model in 1993.

One of the Nazca concepts has been available for sale by a dealer located in the Czech Republic. This car is based on the body of the 1991 Nazca M12 but features an Alpina-prepped 5.7-liter V12 engine producing 379HP.

Pictures of the BMW M5 Concept have been moving around the Internet for the past few days now, but the fierce four-door hasn't even motored at the Shanghai Motor Show yet. Though its production-ready appearance and the Bavarians' propensity have been released we haven't had a clear bead on where the salable F10-based BMW super saloon will show up. We have found that the 580+horsepower production M5 will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September.

Prior Working on BMW 5-Series F10

While BMW works on the production version of the new V8-powered M5 sports saloon, tuners across Europe continue to roll out packages for the standard versions of the F10 5-Series. This one comes from Germany and Prior Design, which recently teased its tuning kit for the new 6-Series Coupe and Convertible models as well.

Prior Design isn’t letting out much info on the tune, but it is evident that the package will include an aerodynamic kit comprising of a very M Sport-like front bumper with a lip spoiler, hood vents, side skirts, fender vents and a new rear bumper with a diffuser that incorporates the quad tail pipes.

Here is the 2012 BMW M5 concept form that will make its official debut at the Shanghai Motor Show later this month. This photo has been leaked from an embargoed preview event held this weekend in Germany. This is exactly what the production car looks like. This is the best-looking BMW M vehicle since the E39 M5, and whatever BMW's has cooked up.

BMW 7 Series worth $140,000 stolen at Detroit Motor Show

The 2011 Detroit Auto Show was more eventful for BMW than it intended. As its workers were working to load the BMW 7 Series onto a truck, a pair of thieves came in and drove off the luxury car which was worth around $140,000. The local police was not able to track the stolen car but the BMW Assist equipped in this series locates a vehicle if it's stolen and hence the car was found. The price of the BMW 7 Series would definitely be worth for its price!

BMW's mini paceman concept at 2011 Detroit Motor Show

Mini is completing the 10th anniversary of its brand and hence the automaker has unveiled the Paceman Concept. It has announced that this concept will be in production in the near future.

At the Detroit motor show, Ian Robertson, the Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG said that he is very thrilled for the first time because a seventh member of the Mini family will be unveiled soon.

Rossin-Bertin Vorax: the V10-Powered Supercar from BMW

Brazil's latest supercar, the Rossin-Bertin Vorax will make its debut at the Sao Paulo Auto Show later this month. Looking a tad like the result of an unfortunate accident between a Nissan Juke and a Mazda RX-8, the Vorax features a carbon fibre body and aluminium chassis. According to its makers, it will weigh in at just 1,300 kg (2,866 lbs) and be powered by the same (albeit tuned) 5.0-liter V10 from the BMW M5.
