To help celebrate the imminent sale of the 25,000th XF in the UK1, Jaguar has launched a text competition to win a brand new XF to help raise funds for the NSPCC. The 3.0-litre diesel XF saloon, worth £38,600, can be won by answering a question about Jaguar via text. Each entry costs £3.00 which includes the cost of a standard SMS text with the proceeds going to the NSPCC.
Geoff Cousins, Managing Director of Jaguar UK said: "We were looking for an innovative way to mark a significant sales milestone for the XF. Launched in March 2008, the XF has been a huge success across the world. In the UK it has already outsold its predecessor, the S-Type, and crucially, we are attracting new customers to the brand who would not have considered a Jaguar before."
XF sales in May were up 75 per cent compared to May 2009, the eleventh consecutive month of sales growth, while year to date sales are up 41 per cent. Geoff Cousins added: "Jaguar is a long-standing supporter of the NSPCC and the XF text competition is one of a number of projects that will help us try and raise £1m for the NSPCC’s helplines this year. We hope that the money raised will help grow ChildLine so it can answer every call, text and e-mail from children."
The XF competition runs until 31 January 2011 and the winner will be announced on 7th February 2011. Entrants must correctly answer a question about Jaguar to be in for a chance to win the car.
